Mission

Doctors for Peace ODV works for:

Guarantee medical and health care to people in conditions of vulnerability and social marginalization, without any discrimination, offering support, accompaniment and integrated care of the person;
Promote the values of solidarity, hospitality, respect for diversity, international cooperation and the protection of human rights through awareness-raising, training and information activities aimed at citizens and institutions
Combat discrimination, social injustice and denial of rights through advocacy, lobbying and communication and awareness campaigns, also in collaboration with national and international bodies and organizations;
Promoting environmental protection as a fundamental element for the protection of the health, dignity and well-being of humanity, promoting a culture of sustainability, social responsibility and cooperation between communities and territories.

PROJECTS

WHAT DO WE DO

Doctors for Peace collaborates with international partners to implement cooperation projects and promote the universal right to health. Our interventions are mainly concentrated in Southeast Asia, Latin America, Sub-Saharan Africa, Eastern Europe and the Middle East.

In Italy, since 2006, we have been working alongside local authorities and realities to help improve the social and health conditions of the most vulnerable and marginalized people and groups.

Alongside cooperation in the field, we promote awareness-raising and solidarity education activities, to spread a culture of participation and responsibility towards others. We support our projects thanks to fundraising and the contribution of those who choose to share our commitment.
