The aim of the project was to prevent and treat oral cavity pathologies of elderly residents of Verona and its province in conditions of poverty and marginality. In fact, elderly people with economic hardship have great difficulty in taking care of their health and, in particular, have to give up dental check-ups and treatment.

Specifically, Doctors for Peace has worked to:

Preventing dental diseases in the over 65s
To take care of the health of the oral cavity in compromised subjects
Educating patients about hygiene.

Since 2013, the Association has been offering dental care and prevention services to poor people. Thanks to the work of a group of specialist dentists from Doctors for Peace, dental services are guaranteed completely free of charge.
