From the beginning of 2015 to the end of 2016, through 188 visits to the mobile clinic, 7,262 women and 8,690 minors up to the age of 15 were offered free assistance, of which 5,131 were under the age of five.

The intervention of nurses, midwives, nutritionists and educators has made it possible to intervene on the serious shortage of qualified health personnel in such remote areas. The mobile clinic offered prenatal services, childbirth referrals, postpartum care and vaccinations. In addition, activities were carried out to monitor the growth of children and nutritional education for mothers, as well as cycles of treatment of intestinal parasites, also in numerous schools in the communities of reference.

In close collaboration with the Ministry of Health and local partners, update sessions were conducted on new guidelines for the integrated management of paediatric diseases for the healthcare staff of the facilities in the Kajado Nord district.
