We are pleased to announce the launch of a new project dedicated to combating gender-based violence
in Romania and Albania, which will directly involve 350 women who have suffered violence. The initiative is carried out in collaboration with the Municipalities of Sibiu (Romania), Vlora (Albania) and Verona (Italy).

The strategy adopted is developed on three levels: offering assistance to victims, promoting the
prevention through the training of professionals and the education of the younger generations to
respect and rejection of gender stereotypes, and to encourage the comparison and exchange of good practices
between bodies and institutions operating in the field in Albania, Romania and Italy.

With “Break The Circle”, Doctors for Peace intends to offer protection and concrete support to women
women who have suffered violence, raise awareness among professionals and younger generations and promote the exchange of experiences and good practices between local authorities and international partners.

Thanks to this integrated approach, the project aims to strengthen the fight against gender-based violence and promote women’s empowerment, contributing to the construction of more inclusive and equitable societies in Romania, Albania and Italy.
