Doctors for Peace is a Voluntary Organization (ODV) registered in the Single National Register of the Third Sector (RUNTS) and this allows it to receive donations in cash or in kind from both natural and legal persons, who, in turn, can benefit from a series of tax breaks provided for by the Italian legal system.

Remember to make the cash donation with traceable methods, and not cash, and to report your tax code: in this way, your donation can be deducted or deducted from your income and will be directly communicated to the Revenue Agency for the preparation of the pre-filled Tax Return.

IF YOU ARE AN INDIVIDUAL YOU CAN:

– deduct 35% of the amount donated from the gross tax , up to a maximum of 30,000 euros (art. 83, paragraph 1 of Legislative Decree 117/2017);

– deduct from your total net income cash donations for an amount not exceeding 10% of the total declared income (art. 83, paragraph 2 of Legislative Decree 117/2017).

In the case of entities subject to corporate tax (IRES), donations to Doctors for Peace are deductible up to 10% of total income. In the event that the deduction exceeds the value of the total income declared net of other deductions, the part of the deduction not used can be carried forward in subsequent returns, up to the fourth subsequent tax period.

Payments made as membership fees or donations not tracked and made in cash are not deductible or deductible.

For companies it is also possible to create donations in kind in favour of Third Sector entities: movable and immovable property subject to the legislation are foodstuffs, medicines, medication articles, foodstuffs, medicines, medication items, products intended for personal and household hygiene and care, food supplements, medical surgical devices, stationery and stationery, books and related supports, textiles, clothing and furnishing products, toys, building materials, household appliances, personal computers and tablets (Art. 16 of Law 166/2016) are deductible without limits for direct tax purposes (they are considered a destination not unrelated to the business operation, so the cost for their purchase or production is fully deductible).

For other products not on the list, whatever they may be and including discarded capital goods, the tax benefits already indicated above are provided.
