Doctors for Peace launches the “Community Medicine” project, an initiative aimed at implementing the social and health services offered to people in conditions of serious marginality present in Verona,
strengthening the services offered by three Community Medical Posts that Doctors for Peace has
autonomously activated, starting from May 2021, at the Convent of the Friars Minor of San Bernardino and the Canteen of the Convent of Barana and the Camploy Service Center.
The initiative aims to offer easier access to health protection services, integrating the figure of the Cultural Mediator into the Medical Posts, a fundamental connecting role for an effective
process of taking charge of situations of fragility and for an effective overcoming of obstacles in accessing social and health services.
This project is supported by the Biondani Ravetta Onlus Foundation.
