Mobile Camps in the Himalayan Mountains
🗻 How can dental care be provided at 4,500 meters altitude in the Nepalese Himalayas, where no motorable roads exist?
🦷 Thanks to the project “A Path to Better Health”, we overcome geographical, economic, and cultural barriers by transporting materials and equipment on foot and by mule to set up mobile dental camps in remote communities. In these camps—moving from village to village—dentists, hygienists, and assistants offer free treatment to people living in poverty and social exclusion.
In recent weeks, our team has been working in the Tsum and Nubri valleys, where we will provide care and oral hygiene education to over 2,000 people.
This project is supported by the 8×1000 funds of the Italian Buddhist Union.
