Infant and maternal mortality rates are remarkable: for every 100,000 live births, 62.5 children and 487 mothers die. The birth rate (children born per woman) is 5.4, with significant differences between urban and rural populations.  <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ae05e38 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"ae05e38\" data-element_type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5a41033 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"5a41033\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Activities<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3a62d59 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"3a62d59\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The Doctors for Peace project promoted <strong>the training and retraining of 61 health personnel<\/strong> in the Rwamagana District, through a highly specialized course on family planning techniques, contraceptive counseling and the prevention of infectious diseases. It has also integrated, where necessary, the supply of medical material (equipment, drugs and aids) necessary for the proper conduct of the courses. <\/p><p>At the end of the course, the trained staff, assisted by specialized medical personnel, provided 151 women, belonging to the Centre de Sant\u00e8, with specific treatments and individual counseling.
