The project, carried out thanks to the funds of the 8\u00d71000 IRPEF, aims to accompany applicants and\/or holders of international protection to obtain adequate access to health care and basic health services. In addition, the beneficiaries of the project will be followed in a path of job placement through accompaniment in writing the CV and in the search for employment. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The context<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In Italy, the National Health Service guarantees health care to everyone, regardless of nationality, ethnicity, religion and social class. In practice, however, this universality clashes with situations of social marginalization and economic difficulties that make it impossible to access health services for large sections of the resident population. For migrants and applicants and\/or holders of international protection (RTP), access to these services is made even more difficult by the cultural barriers that still separate them from full integration into the Italian socio-economic fabric. <\/p>\n

These socio-cultural, legislative and economic barriers become even more marked during the search for a job: the main difficulties for migrants and applicants and\/or holders of international protection (RTP) lie in linguistic diversity, in the difficulty of understanding the mechanisms that regulate the labor market, in the lack of institutional support in the search for a job. All these factors combine to make it almost impossible to find a suitable job, pushing these people to accept situations of labor exploitation and informal employment without any guarantee and social protection. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Activities<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In this context, the intervention of Doctors for Peace is inserted, which is developed around two main guidelines: on the one hand, to guarantee access to the National Health Service and the necessary medical care for people in situations of social marginalization; on the other hand, to ensure dignified access to the world of work by offering the appropriate tools for a successful job search. The activities carried out by Doctors for Peace, in collaboration with its network of volunteers, are:<\/p>\n

\u2013 guarantee access to the NHS and specialized medical care in case of need;
\u2013 promotion and prevention of oral health by providing basic dental care to all beneficiaries;
\u2013 vaccination campaign recommended and not covered by the NHS;
\u2013 identification of early forms of tuberculosis by chest radiography;
