{"id":9331,"date":"2026-07-02T14:01:30","date_gmt":"2026-07-02T14:01:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mediciperlapace.org\/?p=9331"},"modified":"2026-09-01T08:38:52","modified_gmt":"2026-09-01T08:38:52","slug":"copia-copia-copia-community-inclusive-medicine-a-new-beginning-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mediciperlapace.org\/en\/copia-copia-copia-community-inclusive-medicine-a-new-beginning-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Medicom, a project in favor of those who are most vulnerable"},"content":{"rendered":"\t\t<div data-elementor-type=\"wp-post\" data-elementor-id=\"9331\" class=\"elementor elementor-9331 elementor-9330\" data-elementor-post-type=\"post\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-404a61a9 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"404a61a9\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ce67e1c elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"ce67e1c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>Doctors for Peace strengthens the Proximity Medical Post at the San Bernardino canteen<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The activities of the MED.I.COM project continue at the canteen of the Convent of the Friars Minor of San Bernardino in Verona.<\/p>\n<p>The project aims to combat social marginalization, helping to improve access to social, health and administrative services for people in conditions of serious vulnerability in the city of Verona and promoting the universal right to health.<\/p>\n<p>The planned activities are as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Replenishment of the equipment of the Proximity Medical Post: the Medical Post is constantly supplied with instruments necessary for clinical activity and dressing devices.<\/li>\n<li>Provision of first-level care: the weekly opening of the Medical Post with free access is guaranteed, with the presence of volunteer doctors and nurses.<\/li>\n<li>Social and health education: A cultural mediator provides health education, information on screening and vaccination programs, and guidance on social and health services.<\/li>\n<li>Support in the regularization of administrative and health documentation: the staff of Doctors for Peace supports the beneficiaries in the regularization of health documentation, facilitating access to the National Health Service, screening programs and treatment for chronic diseases.<\/li>\n<li>Screening and prevention: screening days are planned against TB, a disease still widespread among people in marginalized conditions.<\/li>\n<li>Psychological listening desk: a free service by appointment is activated for vulnerable people, with the aim of offering initial psychological support and encouraging the construction of social networks useful for well-being and reintegration into the community.<\/li>\n<\/ul><div><br><\/div>\n<p>The project is made possible thanks to the support of the 8&#215;1000 funds of the Waldensian Board.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Doctors for Peace strengthens the Proximity Medical Post at the San Bernardino canteen The activities of the MED.I.COM project continue at the canteen of the Convent of the Friars Minor of San Bernardino in Verona.
